Inauguration of BASE skill training centre at Bidar
On August 7, 2010, the DB Tech skill training programme was officially launched at Don Bosco Tech (Bidar) with three trades, namely Information Technology Enabled Services (ITeS), Industrial Sewing Machine Operator (ISMO) and Retail Management. The dignitaries present at the inaugural function include Mr. Shameer Shukla (District Commissioner, Bidar), Rev. Fr. Leo Vegas (Vicar General Diocese, Gulberga), Fr. Joy Nedumparambil sdb (Regional Coordinator, DB Tech), Rev. Fr. Amruth Praveen (Manager, St. Joseph College, Bidar), Mr. Suryakanth (District Rural Development Officer), Mr. Basavaraj (Chief Manger, State Bank of Hyderabad), Mrs. Vidyvathi Sidram (Gram Panchayat Member) and Mrs Sugamma Shanthappa(Gram Panchayat Member).
Addressing to the gathering, Mr Shameer Shukla praised the initiative undertook by Don Bosco Tech (Bidar) for providing market-driven skill based training to the rural BPL youth so that they become employable. The Vicar General thanked the Government of India for having chosen DB Tech as a trustworthy partner in reaching out to the lowest strata of the society. The Regional Coordinator urged the youth to put up their hands and be counted when it comes to relocation for job opportunities.
