Inauguration of BASE Skill Training Program at Belgaum

The DB Tech-MoRD Project, BASE skill training for BPL youth was launched in Belgaum at S. J. P. N. Trust Polytechnic, (Nidasoshi, Hukkeri) on August 2, 2010. The programme was inaugurated by Monsignor Lucio Mascarenhas (Vicar General, Belgaum Diocese). Fr. Jose Sequeira (Director, Konkan Development Society, Goa) oriented the gathering on the DB Tech - MoRD project. Mr. Sangote (Principal) and Fr. Sigmaringa Amarildes (Rector, Don Bosco, Kakti) were the other dignitaries present at the programme.

The Vicar General highlighted the initiative of DB Tech in shouldering the responsibility of taking along the BPL Youth of North Karnataka especially in Belgaum by launching MoRD Project for them. He also acknowledged the efforts of Rural Development (Government of India) for training the BPL Youth for employment.The centre will provide training in four trades namely: Electricals, Automobile, Sales and Marketing and Computers. There are 100 students who have been enrolled for the program.
