Inauguration of BASE Training Centre at Don Bosco (Sulthan Bathery)

Inauguration of DB Tech-MoRD Skill Training Project for rural BPL youth was held at Don Bosco Technical School Hall (Sultan Bathery) on July 21, 2010. The project was inaugurated in the presence of numerous dignitaries and students. The ceremony began with the prayer song rendered beautifully by the students. It was then followed by the welcome speech by Mr. Vinod (Trainer-Electrical, DB Tech), who introduced and welcomed the dignitaries. The event was graced by Shri O M George (Bathery Panchayat President), Babu Abdul Rehman (Panchayat Member), Shri Ramachandran (Block Development Officer, Sulthan Bathery), Prof. George Abraham (Principal, Don Bosco College, Bathery), Fr Joy Pullickan SDB (Rector, Don Bosco Bathery), Fr Joe Kokkandathil SDB (Administrator, Don Bosco Bathery) and Fr Antree Kannampuzha SDB (Principal, Don Bosco Bathery). The BASE Project at Don Bosco, Bathery was inaugurated with the lighting of the lamp by each of the dignitaries followed by a small talk enlightening the students about the salient features of the project.

Each of the dignitaries briefed the students about the significance of the Project and how it contributes to the overall economic development of India in the long run by achieving MDGs (Millennium Development Goals). Shri O M George and Babu Abdul Rehman commended the work done by Don Bosco Tech India and promised their whole-hearted support to the successful completion of the project.
