Bosco Northeast –MoRD project takes off

Image 1MoRD project was formally launched at Don Bosco Technical School – Maligaon centre with the inauguration of the training courses on Welding, Motor Driving and Motor Mechanics.

Shri. Ramen Kalita- the honorable Member of Legislative Assembly, West Guwahati Constituency, was the Chief Guest for the function. Other dignitaries included Fr. Johnson Parackal, the Executive Director, Bosco Reach Out, Fr. Abraham Kanattu- Director of DBTS Maligaon, MoRD State Coordinator and project team members. While declaring the project as open, he informed the gathering that he would provide all possible help to make the project a great success. Fr. Johnson Parackal, in his speech, highlighted the aims and objectives of the project. Earlier, Fr. Abraham Kanattu – the Director of the centre welcomed the guests and participants and committed the institute and available logistics for MoRD project implementation.

With the initial hiccups and other operational difficulties, the centre is now ready to implement the first phase of the project for training and employment of rural youths of the region. More than 70 eligible trainees have reported for these 3 trades so far. More candidates are expected in the next couple of days.
