Specifics, Planning and Execution of MoRD project in Hyderabad

Fr Bellamkonda Sudhakar, Director, Bosco Seva Kendra (BSK) welcomed the participants and Fr A.M. Jose and appreciated the zeal of the confreres in taking this particular programme forward. Fr Thomas, Provincial Economer in his speech said that skill training alone does not change the lives of the rural poor youth and it does not fulfill our mission either. On this occasion he congratulated DB Tech India on tapping the central government project MoRD for skill training and placement of rural BPL youth.

Fr A.M. Jose explained in detail about the project specifics through a presentation. He also presented the roles of MoRD and DB Tech (BASE-Bosco Academy of Skill training and Employment), infrastructure requirement to take up this project, roles and responsibilities of local community, staff recruitment procedure, staff training, induction of trainees, BPL youth survey in the neighborhood and also fixed the dates for the completion of various task given to the communities for the beginning of the programme. During Fr A.M. Jose`s presentation a lot of questions were raised by the confreres and they were convincingly answered.

At present ten communities expressed their willingness to take up MoRD project and the first batch of implementation would commence from June 2010 onwards. The next group of communities would start from August 2010 onwards. Fr Vatti Balashowry proposed the vote of thanks and assured Fr A.M. Jose on behalf of the communities that we would always support such initiatives.
