Evaluation & Planning Meet of PRTs in Hyderabad
07th & 08th December 09: Provincial House, Hyderabad: DB Tech India organised a two days evaluation & planning meeting for all the PRT members. The meeting focused on sharing the experience of the work done through out the year and planning ahead for DBTech project particularly with regard to the project sanctioned by the Ministry of Rural Development for training and employment.
Fr. M. Noel (Provincial Hyderabad) was the chief guest for the inaugural session. Fr.Thomas, the provincial economer of Hyderabad and Fr. Sudhakar, the Director of Development office Hyderabad where the other guests of honor for the first session. Fr. M. Noel released the first issue of the news letter and the new logo of DB Tech. “ I congratulate all those who have made efforts to bring more visibility to the network” he added while thanking the team for all the works carried out by the team. he This was followed presentations by each of the PRTs on the result achieved and future course of action. The presentation reflected that how DB Tech has made a tangible difference in the lives of the young in each of the provinces through training, employment and hand holding. Fr. A.M Jose (Director, DB Tech) facilitated a session on the need and demand of the MoRD project and emphasized on devising a clear cut road map for making the project successful. He highlighted the possibilities of exploring more linkages and networking with government and private partners at national and international level. The first day concluded with a session by Mr. Binoy Aravindakshan Asst. Manager - Corporate networking, DB Tech on the SOP for the MoRD projects.
On the second day Mrs. Minu Thommen (Programme Director, MoRD Project) explained the various components of the project and the HR policies for the network in detail. Mr. Mr.Chetan Kappor from edu Lever team facilitated a session on the possibilities of soft skill training programmes for the beneficiaries of the MoRD projects. He conducted short assessment of the PRTs and interacted with them in order to find out their potential for becoming a master trainer to be trained under the MoRD project. The financial requirements of the MoRD project and the communications strategy of Don Bosco Tech was shared with the team by Mr.Linto. K.B the National PRT Coordinator, DB tech.
The meeting concluded with the vote of thanks by Fr. A.M Jose where he thanked all the participants for accomplishing the desired outcome under DB Tech project and urged them take it into a new height with the MoRD project.
