Awareness Program at Porumamilla

Hyderabad, Oct. 20. The DB Tech team organized an Awareness program for the students of 8th, 9th and 10th standards of Holy Rosary English Medium School, Porumamilla of Kadapa District from October 8th -11th, 2009 for the teachers and students. Almost 60 boys and girls were present for the same. Themes like Gender Equality, Child Rights, Social responsibility, Leadership qualities, Goal setting and conservation of environment were discussed.

Mr. Anil Kumar, Career Guidance Coordinator-DHISHA, was the chief Resource person for the program. Since this program was the first of its kind that was taking place in their school, the students were very much thrilled and completely involved in the tasks given to them. The staffs there were also given awareness on the same themes but on a higher level, integrating the needs and expectations of the students and society. Fr Miriyala Bala Kishore, the Provincial Delegate-Technical Commission, Kadapa joined with the team to animate the teachers.

``Over all, the four days program was resourceful and helped us a lot to understand the responsibilities of a teacher in protecting and promoting child rights, gender equality, human rights, social responsibility and human values into the society,``Mr. Ragha Reddy, the Telugu teacher.

``These two days program enabled us to know the expectations of the students, parents and society``. Ms. Sandhya Rani, the Science teacher.
 
Towards the end, the students, teachers and management expressed their sincere gratitude to the DB Tech Team and requested them to visit their school again for such enriching programs.
