Hyderabad, Oct. 7. DB Tech organized a three days workshop on ‘awareness cum capacity building’ from 1st to 3rd October at Don Bosco Navajeevan, Ramanthapur, Hyderabad for all the Salesian Technical school instructors of the Province. Besides the 46 instructors there were also 15 promising youngsters who participated in this programme to critically put forward their aspirations and expectations from a skill trade centre. Human Rights, lesson making, ecological conservation and human relationship skills were the key themes dealt with during the workshop.

The first day of the gathering was focused on creating awareness on Human Rights and thus the resource persons Mr. Laxman Rao and M. Bala Kumar from ANAND Society International, Guntur dealt with very sensitive topics like Child rights and conservation of Environment.

On the second and the third day, Dr. P. Narasimha Rao, Professor and Head of the Department of Public Administration & Human relations, Kakathiya University, Warangal dealt with ‘Teaching Methods and Lesson Plans’. He helped the participants to prepare a Year plan, Month plan, week plan and unit plan. The participants were very much thrilled by the innovative methods introduced in the presentation of the topics.

“The whole day`s programme was resourceful, an eye-opener and very special one of its kind,” said by Ms. Sirisha, a Beautician Trainer from Navajeevan Bala Bhavan, Vijayawada. ‘Dhisha Yuva Spoorthi’ (spring of youthful living), the Career guidance newsletter, was also released on this occasion. This is a collective venture of DB Tech India and DHISHA. Fr Bala Kishore presented the vote of thanks to conclude the programme.
