Mrs. Homely Meca Kharkongor

Mrs. Homely Meca Kharkongor, mother of two and her husband a government servant, enrolled in the Modern Office Management Course from DBTS in 2004. She then worked as a substitute in the DBTS reception for a while after completing her course.

Determined to find a decent job, she registered herself with the placement cell, Mrs. Homely now works as a full time Office Assistant at Nongsain Hima, a khasi daily Newspapers of Mawkhar, Shillong. Her starting pay was 1800/- per month plus other allowances as per press regulation.

Mrs. Homely appreciated the Modern Office Management course she undertook at DBTS. According to her with just a class XII certificate, it would have been very difficult for her to get a decent job with a respectful pay. However with the certification of DBTS, she now proclaims to have received what she had always dreamt off. She expresses her gratitude to the institute for setting up the placement cell, which she feels acts as a real eye opener for the passed out students.
