BOSCO PLUS AT DBTI –INP
The DBTI –INP Panjim have launched the Bosco Plus program at the Don Bosco School, Panjim and at the Community college in Loutolim in August 2009. A total number of 80 students have registered from both the centers, since August 2009. These students were motivated to join this program through the Career Guidance program held in June 2009 at the Don Bosco Panjim.
The students at the Don Bosco centre are from the Chimbel, Odxel and Taligao area generally comprising of school drops outs and those studying in the open schools. These students are from the low income group who cannot afford additional expenses for training. They are being taught Spoken English, Computers, Office Management, Hospitality Skills and Life Coping Skills.At the Don Bosco Community College, Loutolim, 25 students are being trained in Computers, Food and Beverage Services and Life Coping Skills. The students are being trained to improve their employability skills and learn life skills to enhance their personal competencies. In two months time itself the students have shown great interest in learning and gaining vital skills to help them in the career. The LSE Program is being conducted by the DBTI – INP team comprising of Rosaline, Edwin and Archangel.
