Training workshop on ‘Customer Relations, Customer Satisfaction and Networking’

As a part of the of the Training and Placement mission of Don Bosco, a training workshop on ‘Customer Relations, Customer Satisfaction and Networking’ was organized by Don Bosco Tech India at Pedro Arrupe Retreat Centre, Raia, Goa from 20th to 23rd of September 2009. Thirteen Placement Coordinators from different provinces participated in the three days workshop facilitated by the Ms. Susanna Maria Kraft, a German CIM expert. The Workshop was opened by Fr. Loddy Pires sdb,Provincial of Panjim province, who welcomed the participants and remarked the importance of placement in the salesian mission of training the youth, linking it to Don Bosco who gave predominant consideration to placement and well being of the youngsters than any personal achievements.

Fr.Kinley D’cruz, the Technical Commission Head, in his address stressed the importance of customer relationship in our fast growing world and the need to be professionally trained to meet the demands of the time. “We can help thousands of youngsters to become self reliant if we all work together” he said while concluding his words of address. Mr.Linto, the project coordinator form Delhi thanked the provincial and the Don Bosco Tech India team of Goa for the personal interest shown in arranging the programme meticulously. Fr. Three days of workshop was divided into seven sessions. The participants were introduced to topics such as how to earn trust, how to approach customer, building sustainable relationships, all about customer expectation , effective ways to meet the customer expectations, concepts of networking and the strategies for effective placement in the Don Bosco Circle . One of the important outcomes was that, the participants were encouraged to do a self analysis of their most important learning and a determined step of how they would incorporate them into their daily life. The effective role plays and actual work situation analysis helped participants to connect their learning to their work. “I could learn from this workshop many things which I can practice in my contact with the companies for a better result” said Mr. Vincent one of the participants when asked about the feedback of the programme. As the programme concluded the participants expressed renewed enthusiasm to work together more effectively towards the fulfillment of the placement mission of Don Bosco Tech India.
