Students & Staff Training Programme at DBTI Kauli
14th- 15th September 2009: BOSCO Team’s endeavor, in inculcating and nurturing in the DBTI students the sense of “Right Attitude” - the one main sought after quality that most of the employers seek nowadays, has driven them towards conducting yet another two days training programme for the students and staffs of Don Bosco Technical Institute Kauli (Punjab). It was designed for students of all trades like Office Management, Computer, Tailoring, Refrigeration, etc. A total of 100 students attended this training session in batches of three. The training programme was structured with the objective of developing the level of confidence of the students by giving them activity based sessions on self worth, positive attitude, goal setting, time management, do not complain, positive first impression & influencing others.
Following are few of the comments made by the participants at the end of the two day programme:
“This training programme has taught me many good things in life and has helped me bring about certain positive changes in life…” – Ms. Nagender Kumar.
“...We have come to know the importance of time and have realized what we have wasted so far. Also, we should always have an aim in life and work towards achieving that.” – Malkeet Singh.
“…Things that we kind of ignored in life are the very things that we need to focus more like impression, complain, attitude, etc. After having attended this training programme I have decided to set a goal in my life and work towards it.” – Jitna.
The Resource Team included Mr. George, Mr. Asif and Mr. Anwer.
Simultaneously, two days staff training was also conducted with the prime objective of motivating them to become better and more effective trainers. The staffs were given activity based learning on Motivation & Team Work and various inputs for becoming an effective teacher, a mentor and a facilitator. There were 9 staffs who attended this session.The resource person for the staff training was Ms. Selin.
