Don Bosco Plus in Rural Site

2nd and 3rd Sept. Monsada (W.B) Don Bosco Tech India, Kolkata Province Team organized a two day life Skill Program for the boys and girls of Monsada, a rural area bordering Bangladesh. The 17 participants were students of Don Bosco Vocational Training Centre Monsada, enrolled to learn Computers. Mostly from the villages close by and hailing from different educational backgrounds, few among them are working part time job and studies for them is only a means to augment their possibility for a better paycheck. The programs sole aim was to reinforce the confidence and performance level of these students.

The training begun with an introduction from the Province Resource Team, Fr. V.D. Mathew. ‘Motivation’, ‘Emotion’, ‘Leadership’, ‘Positive Attitude’, ‘Communication and Time management’ were some of the topics that were communicated through to this group. Being the first of its kind, it went unnoticed that the participants were a bit on the reserve side during the first day, however the line of silence was soon crossed over by the beginning of the second day , with most of the students echoing that the program was too short. . They expressed their aspiration to have more of such educative and life value based trainings. The participants were progressive to widen their outlooks and venture into new fields of learning and working. The students expressed their heartfelt gratitude to the DBTECH team. Fr. V.D. Mathew the principal of the school also appreciated the initiative taken by DB Tech India towards betterment of the youths of Monsada.
