Skill Orientation Programme at Don Bosco ‘SIHARAM’ Thiruvannamalai

On 22nd August2009, Thiruvannamalai: Don Bosco Tech India team (INM) organized a one day Skill Orientation Programme for BCA 1st year and DCA Students at Don Bosco ‘SIHARAM’ Thiruvannamalai. Rev.Fr.Vasanthan Edwin sdb, the Principal of Don Bosco ‘SIHARAM’ in his welcome address explained the concept of Don Bosco Tech India project and its networking strategy throughout the county.

Mr.Richard and Mr.Jerin Bosco, the Job Placement Coordinators of INM DB Tech project facilitated the training programme. The training program was designed to increase the confidence level of the students to face the hazards in their journey to a dignified employment. To this end the resource team conducted sessions on Self-Motivation, Interpersonal skills, Personality Development, Leadership, goal setting, problem solving, listening & study skills and peer pressure. During the programme, some of the students shared their experiences after going through lessons on managing their personality, time, setting goals etc. It was overwhelming to see the confidence and joy in the students during the sessions and they expressed it though an active participation in the programme .The Principal and School Management were happy about the programme “We hope that these students would be able to excel their studies and will become contributing citizens of the society” wished Rev.Fr.Vasanthan Edwin sdb at the close of the programme.
