Skill, Industry, Employment... and DB Tech India
A round table conference on “Integrating Needs of Industry & Present day youth and achieving Employment Objectives” was convened on 8th August 2009 at the Federation of Andhra Pradesh Chamber of Commerce and Industry (FAPCCI) Bhavan, Red Hills, Hyderabad. Don Bosco Tech India played the pivotal role along with other collaborators Roshan Vikas Foundation (RVF), Gram Tarang Employability training Services, Boys Town ITC, Shingo Institute, Department of Employment & Labor and Rajiv Udyogasri in bringing more than 150 Micro, Small and Medium industries, NGOs working for youth, Government Departments involved in skill training and placement and Vocational skill training providers (Technical Schools) on one platform to discuss and find solutions to the various issues related to Industry needs, employment objectives and challenges that are in front of the technical schools in training and placement.
Fr. Bellamkonda Sudhakar, Director-Development Office, was one of the panelists on theme “Youth” and presented the present day rural youth skill and job aspirations according to the study of Youth Survey carried out by DB Tech India, Hyderabad Province. Mr. Ananda Sudheer, PRT Coordinator, was one of the panelists on theme “Vocational Training Providers” who brought out the challenges involved in non-formal skill training and placement to the round table for possible solutions. This round table gave greater visibility to DB Tech India and surely this is going to establish a strong linkage in near future with Government Departments, Industries and NGOs in and around Hyderabad. Mr. Srinivasulu, Commissioner of Employment & Labor, Mr. Dhanunjaya Reddy, Rajiv Udyogasri, Ms. Latha Employment officer, Ranga Reddy District, Mrs. Lalitha Iyar (Dean, ISABS), Mrs. Gayatri Ramachandran IAS (Rtd), Mr. Gopal Krishnan former Chairman of Atomic Energy Regulatory Board, Govt. of India, Director of BHEL were the few eminent persons participated in the round Table.
