Training programme on Effective Classroom Management & Don Bosco Preventive System of Education
DB Tech Chennai organized a two days training programme for the teachers of INM Province. A total of 113 teachers participated in the training programme, out of which 26 teachers were from Vocational Training centres.
The participants were divided into two groups based on the medium of training i.e English and Tamil. Mr. Rajarathinam, the coordinator of the Kalvisolai, took charge of the Tamil speaking group and through a movie titled “Touch of the master” went on to a general discussion. Each one expressed their view and shared their insights. Rev.Fr. Christy Antony sdb, dwelt on the theme of understanding and reading the minds of the students in a class room. He also dealt with the ways of tackling the problems of students as a teacher. Mr. K.J. Francis Xavier, the DB Tech Coordinator focused on the DB Tech Activities of INM province and the importance of the documentation with regard to job placement, company liaisoning, success stories etc. Rev.Fr. Joe Andrew sdb, the Vice Provincial spoke about rewards and punishments in the process of learning and its impacts. Rev.Fr. Stanislaus Swamikannu sdb, the Provincial gave a talk on ‘Accompaniment'. He distributed the certificates to all the teachers who participated in the two days training programme. The teachers expressed deep gratitude for conducting such a training programme and commented that they need more such trainings in the future.
