‘Don Bosco Plus’ training for 120 youth in Chennai Province

18th January 2009: The Don Bosco Plus (soft skill training programme) was conducted for 120 youth in Chennai Province from15th Oct.2008 to 18th Jan.2009. The Programme was organized in four Technical training centres of the Province, Don Bosco Agro–Tech,Polur, St.Joseph Non Formal carpentry Centre, Pondicherry, The Salesian Institute of Graphic Arts, kilpauk and Auxilium Technical Training Centre, Tirupattur.

The ‘Don Bosco Plus’ course was organized and designed in collaboration with the Principals of the Institutions in alignments with their specific needs of the youth of their centre. Eminent Resource persons from various fields were invited to train the students on different topics. Sessions on Safety Skill, Spoken and Written English, Film Analysis, Media , Photography and Video Editing, Communication Skills, Life Coping Skills, Self Management, Mock Interview, Basics of Computer, Psychology and Education were conducted. At the end of the course, the students expressed that these sessions helped them to develop a positive attitude to face the challenges of life.
