Teacher Training in Najafgarh

Quality of learning is directly connected with the quality of teaching especially in vocational trainings. Hence, it is expected that the teachers have a proper grounding in the trade they teach. However, there are even more vital aspects of a teacher that are today being trivialized. Academic qualifications alone do not make a model teacher; they should also be adorned with human as well as social qualities since a student spends a good bit of the day with his/her teachers. With this in mind BOSCO team organized two days training programme for the teachers of the Don Bosco Technical Institute Najafgarh on 25th and 26th August 2008.

Fr. Noble SDB, Asst.Director, BOSCO was the chief trainer along with Mr.LintoK.B. Besides the several input sessions and discussions, on effective learning and teaching methods, the teachers demonstrated their teaching styles before the others and received feedbacks on their performance. “It was a unique experience for us; it helped us to look into ourselves and gain strength for our forward journey as teachers,” said one of the teachers as the programme was concluded.
