Students Training Programme Kaurmunda (Orissa)

BOSCO-Delhi organized a two days animation programme for the students of the Vocational Training Institute, Kaurmunda on 19th and 20th of August 2008. The programme aimed to prepare them well to face the challenges those would fall for them during the vocational training.

As per the findings of the need assessment the programme covered topics like, listening skills, positive thinking, risk management, career planning, and the basics of the entrepreneurship. The sessions were designed to suit the target group with various group activities and games. ‘It was good to see the students taking part actively in all the activities with eagerness to learn and earn’ remarked Mr.Aloysious and Mr.Anwer, the resource team when asked bout the response of the students.

The students expressed the need to have more of these trainings for them “during this training I got the opportunity for the first time to speak for three minutes in front of my friends and I am sure in the next training I will do better than this” said Ms.Rashmi while thanking the resource team. As we walked out of the training hall we could hear the students asking each other “when will we have the next training.
