Certificate Day at Don Bosco, Kottiyam

The year of training for the youth at Don Bosco Tech, Kottiyam, has ended on 10th May, 2008. They have ended with certifications on this day in front of proud parents in less than one year after they came into the campus. Now they begin facing reality of life.
It was Annual Certificate Day at Don Bosco Technical Institute, Kottiyam on 10th May, 2008. Thirty two young people passed out from the institute with traning in skills such as Carpentry, Electrician, Electronics and Computer.
As part of the integral approach all students have had basic exposure to computer course as well as life skills through sessions in such topics as personality, leadership, teamwork etc.

The real success is that already 50% of the trained youth are offered jobs. Nine of them - all trained in carpentry - were to join work from 12th May in and around the area. This was a matter of joy for these youth as well as the institution to see that they have moved towards livelihood.
In the last years the institution also have enrolled many from the Tsunami affected regions and particularly Azhekal for various trades so that they could become earning members of their families.
We wish the youth the very best as they earn their livelihood and may the institution continue to serve more with quality and committment.
