About Us

Shelter Don Bosco is a Non Governmental Organisation working with the Roofless and Rootless STREET CHILDREN of the city of Mumbai since 1987. Initiated by the Salesian Society in the Province of Mumbai, Shelter Don Bosco is a part of the Don Bosco family of institutions that work with and for youth, especially the emarginated ones.

Shelter Don Bosco Karjat began an entirely new chapter in its history in the month of August 2008, with the launching of the Lamprell Work2LivE programme.

Work2live is a skills training programme which provides basic and/or advanced skills to youth, especially those who have no shelter, owing to their directionless lifestyle and lack of opportunities to acquire education and skills for gainful employment. This programme aims to obtain suitable employment opportunities, through which they may lead a more productive and financially stable life.
